Trail Standards

Technical expedition tiers

Every itinerary is measured by rock gradient, sustained singletrack exposure, and self-supported ridgeline distance. We cap groups at six riders to preserve trail flow and upland terrain integrity.

Upland Traverse

Ridge Technical

Summit Col

Sustained bridleways, packed shale, and rolling moorland passes with moderate rock steps. Requires steady cardiovascular stamina and reliable brake modulation over loose stone.

Exposed singletrack, tight bedrock switchbacks, and wheel-eating slab sections across remote mountain flanks. Demands committed line choice, dropper management, and punchy climbing power.

Unmarked boulder fields, loose scree chutes, and knife-edge ridgeline descents in volatile weather. Requires advanced high-angle balance, hike-a-bike endurance, and backcountry autonomy.

Ridgeline Transit

Trail Debrief

Detailed review of weather windows, elevation profiles, satellite topography, and bailout spurs before mounting tires to dirt.

Systematic inspection of tire pressures, sealant levels, suspension sag, and emergency satellite beacon connectivity at base camp.

Structured group ascents, disciplined spacing through technical rock gardens, and live terrain spotting across high-exposure cols.

Component cleaning, drivetrain grit clearance, and route verification over hot sustenance while plotting the following morning ascent.
